The Beginning

It all started in mid-2016, after thorough and rigorous market research of the Indian retail sector, our team at DPD Technologies came up with the idea of billing software. A software that will bust long queues in the stores and further ease out the checkout facilities, called QueueBuster POS.

During our research we noticed that only 10 percent of the Indian retail business is organized, the remaining retail sector is highly fragmented, with 90 percent of its business being operated by the unorganized retailers that comprise the local Kirana shops, convenience stores, hand carts, etc. Close to 50 percent of India’s GDP is contributed by this informal Industry. This sector is far from being digitized and scattered to its core, with no management and billing options. It was highly susceptible to errors and in urgent need of a revamp.

Regardless of all the efforts from the POS industry, a large number of small merchants were still unable to afford the POS system due to some shortcomings.

The major limitations included:-

  • Heavy and Bulky set-up
  • Cost-inefficient
  • A substantial amount of space for set-up
  • Decoupled functionality
  • exhausting and expensive process

To overcome all these issues and to put businesses at ease, QueueBuster came up with their own powerful POS solution software which helped the businesses to match their competition in the market with all the necessary solutions, without any budgetary constraints.

Initially, we started as Retail POS software for all businesses. A Software that will help the businesses to grow up to their full potential.

We launched our software to numerous SMBs, a mobile POS software that is ideal for every kind of business. To our surprise, the response was overwhelmingly positive, with assorted and constructive feedback from the merchants.

To counter their concerns, we created a software that provided merchants a more holistic approach for their requirements and facilitated them to conduct business on the go, while simultaneously working with the POS software.

Venturing into retail became a beneficial and successful journey, yet, retail was still scanty, we aimed higher.
